The Hash Company 5500sc AMC ammonia/monochloramine analyzer can provide the information you need during the chloramine process to avoid nitrification reactions, odors, and odor generation, giving you confidence in the chloramine process.

-Working principle:

First, use the improved phenolate method to determine the concentration of monochloramine. Then take another water sample and add an excess of hypochlorite. At an appropriate pH, the hypochlorite reagent can convert all free ammonia in the sample into monochloramine, and then measure the ammonia concentration using the phenol salt method. Subtract monochloramine from total ammonia to obtain the concentration of free ammonia. The free ammonia content tested is not affected by residual chlorine in the water sample.

Suitable for the disinfection process of tap water with chloramine, monitoring the content of total ammonia, free ammonia, and monochloramine.
