Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and leaf area index (LAI) are important indicators for evaluating plant health status and canopy structure. PAR represents how much light energy can be utilized by plant photosynthesis; LAI can be used to estimate canopy density and biomass, and is an important characterization parameter of plant canopy structure.AccuPARPlant canopy analyzerIt is possible to measure PAR and LAI simultaneously. The instrument undergoes calibration before leaving the factory, and the calibration values are stored in memory, so there is no need for calibration during use. AccuPAR plant canopy analyzer is widely used in research fields such as agriculture, forestry, and botany.

working principle
The probe includes 80 PAR light quantum sensors spaced 1 cm apart, used to measure changes in PAR in ambient lighting. The latitude, longitude, and time of the study area are input, and the instrument can automatically calculate the zenith angle. By setting the leaf angle distribution parameter (X) and measuring the ratio of PAR above and below the canopy, the LAI value of the plant canopy can be calculated.
