Mortar Expansion Tester, CA Mortar Expansion Tester, designed and produced according to the requirements of the "Provisional Technical Conditions for Cement Emulsified Asphalt Mortar of CRTS II Plate Non ballasted Track for Passenger Dedicated Line Railway" for the expansion test of cement asphalt mortar. It is made of anti warping steel material, with smooth inner walls that are wetted during use. Equipped with a leveling and seat scale 40x40mm glass plate, data can be directly read, eliminating the difficulty of manual caliper measurement and center finding, greatly improving work efficiency and measurement accuracy.

Operation method of CA mortar expansion tester:

1. Place the glass panel horizontally.

2. Moisten the surface of the glass panel and the inside of the expansion cylinder.

3. Stand the expansion tube upright in the middle of the glass panel, and fill the mixed water asphalt mortar into the tube until it reaches the upper edge. If mortar accidentally falls on the glass panel, it should be wiped clean in a timely manner and the glass should be kept semi moist.

4. Raise the cylinder speed vertically by 15 ± 2mm and hold for 10 seconds, while pressing the stopwatch to record the time when the expansion of cement asphalt mortar reaches 280mm.

5. Measure the expansion diameter in two perpendicular directions after the cement asphalt mortar stops flowing.

6. The experimental results are expressed as the average of two vertical diameters (up to 5mm) and the time it takes for the expansion to reach 280mm (up to 1S).
