Product details
During the entire water production process, the raw water is usually subjected to pre-treatment equipment in order to improve the water supply conditions, meet the inlet requirements of the reverse osmosis system, protect the reverse osmosis host, and extend the service life of the membrane. In the water treatment system. It is often necessary to design pre-treatment systems for different water qualities, including common multi-media filters (filtering out suspended filters with a diameter greater than 10um), activated carbon (removing odors, residual chlorine, heavy metal ions, organic carcinogens, etc.), scale inhibitor dosing devices (or softening devices) (greatly reducing the formation of calcium, magnesium and other scaling substances in the system), and precision filters (with a filtration accuracy of 5um, further removing residual particulate matter in the water). After a period of use, the filter material will gradually lose its original performance. In order to meet the standards of the reverse osmosis system, consumables such as quartz sand, activated carbon, filter element, and scale inhibitor need to be replaced.
Common filter media include:
1. Quartz sand:
Common filter media include:
1. Quartz sand:
Quartz sand is a hard and chemically stable silicate material, with SiO2 as its main mineral component. Quartz sand is milky white or colorless semi transparent in color, with a hardness of 7 and is brittle without cleavage. It has a shell like fracture surface and a glossy oil like appearance. Its density is 2.65, with a bulk density (1.6-1.8 for 1-20 mesh and 1.5 for 20-200 mesh). Its chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties are significantly anisotropic, insoluble in acid, and slightly soluble in KOH solution. Its melting point is 1750 ℃.
Common specifications include: 0.5-1mm, 1-2mm, 2-4mm, 4-8mm, 8-16mm, 16-32mm, 10-20 mesh, 20-40 mesh, 40-80 mesh, 100-120 mesh.
Due to the smaller quartz sand particle size of the three-layer filter bed compared to the double-layer filter bed, and the presence of a finer layer of heavy anthracite filter material below the quartz sand layer, the filtered water quality of the three-layer filter bed is better than that of the double-layer filter bed, even under the same conditions and higher filtration rates. When using quartz sand, try to use it in combination as much as possible.

2. Activated carbon
Activated carbon materials are amorphous carbon obtained through processing, with a large specific surface area and good adsorption capacity for inorganic or organic substances and colloidal particles in gases and solutions. Activated carbon materials mainly include activated carbon (A C) and activated carbon fibers (ACF). Activated carbon materials, as a high-performance adsorbent, are mainly determined by their adsorption surface structure characteristics and surface chemical properties. Activated carbon materials have stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength, acid resistance, alkali resistance, heat resistance, and are insoluble in water and organic solvents. They can be recycled and widely used in various fields such as chemical engineering, environmental protection, food processing, metallurgy, pharmaceutical refining, military chemical protection, etc.
The main raw materials for activated carbon can almost be organic materials containing carbon, such as coalWood, fruit shellsCoconut shellWalnut shellApricot shells, jujube shells, etc. These carbon containing materials are converted into activated carbon through pyrolysis at high temperature and pressure in an activation furnace. During this activation process, the surface area and complex pore structure gradually form, and the so-called adsorption process occurs in these pores and on the surface. The size of the pores in activated carbon has a selective adsorption effect on the adsorbate, because large molecules cannot enter the pore size of activated carbon that is smaller than its pores. Activated carbon is a hydrophobic adsorbent produced by high-temperature carbonization and activation of substances mainly containing carbon as raw materials. Activated carbon contains a large number of micropores and has a large surface area, which can effectively remove color and odor. It can also remove most organic pollutants and certain inorganic substances, including some toxic heavy metals, from the secondary effluent.

3. PP filter cotton filter cartridge
Filter element is a new type of precision filter element, which has the characteristics of small volume, large filtration area, high accuracy, no pollution, easy installation and replacement. Due to the use of microporous membrane filtration, it has small adsorption, no retention of filtrate, and wide chemical compatibility, with a wide range of applicability. The connector of the filter element adopts the internationally recognized form: the end cap is in three forms: 226, 222, and flat, and the port is in two forms: triangular fin and flat head.

4. Scale inhibitor
Reverse osmosis scale inhibitor and dispersant are highly efficient scale inhibitors and dispersants, suitable for reverse osmosis systems with high barium and strontium content in feed water and severe tendency for barium sulfate and strontium sulfate scaling. It can effectively prevent scaling from occurring within a wide concentration range of scaling substances. Use reverse osmosis scale inhibitors in reverse osmosis systems (RO), nanofiltration systems (NF), or ultrafiltration systems (UF). Scaling of reverse osmosis membrane is a key factor restricting the promotion and application of RO in water treatment. Once the membrane system is extensively scaled, cleaning the membrane or replacing the reverse osmosis membrane can solve the problem.
