CBN cutting tools are mainly used for processing black high hardness metals, such as hardened steel and cast steel (iron). They can withstand high temperatures (above 1000 degrees) and have a hardness of 8000HV, making them a good tool material for improving production efficiency and processing difficult to machine materials. However, this material is not suitable for processing steel below 45HRC, as it is prone to adhesive wear and cracking.
