Integrated Solution - The Company's Foresight
EASi, There are over 400 engineers and IT professionals serving the automotive industry worldwide. Customers include General Motors, Ford, Daimler Chrysler BMW、 Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Rolls Royce, Daewoo and other companies also have many first and second tier suppliers. EASi's foresight was to become a supplier, providing comprehensive solutions suitable for the development process of pursuing "fast to market" products. By integrating solutions, EASi needs to do more work than traditional CAE services. It wants to extend into the field of design.
Appropriate tool kit
EASi is looking for a comprehensive CAD/CAE system that supports a single data format suitable for all applications. This solves any data conversion problem, making it possible to maintain consistency across disciplines and allowing companies to complete projects more quickly. The supplier that provides comprehensive suites suitable for all fields is Siemens PLM Software. EASi has purchased I-deas and Teamcenter.
Redefine the rapid turnover process; Collaboration exceeds expectations
Recently, an American automaker is facing difficulties. A prototype of a conveying cylinder prepared for a car to be put into production in June did not pass performance testing. Engineers need to redesign this very complex component. Due to the urgency of time, they want to conduct a series of finite element analyses on the original design to identify the cause of the problem before getting out of the predicament.
Automakers are requesting EASi to intervene in the project. As the physical model of the car manufacturer had not yet been completed at that time, EASi proposed to finish it first as the first step of the project. EASi has assigned two engineers to work on it. After 7 days, they delivered precise physical models and effective analysis grids.
By working in a collaborative, integrated design and analysis environment - using the I-deas/Teamcenter Enterprise joint system - EASi meets and exceeds customers' quality and turnover requirements on this project. In fact, EASi has achieved many similar successes and expects more.
EASi is currently planning how to utilize Teamcenter EnterprisemoreIntegrate well into the user vault, archive product and process data to improve service turnaround time.
Save in local format
A redesigned prototype of the conveying cylinder (completed in local format using I-deas) is used to establish an analysis grid. To meet the needs of design and analysis work, utilizing local formats can save a lot of time. Specifically, since there is no need for data conversion, manual cleaning is not necessary. Easel found that the model itself is very suitable for network partitioning. According to Maxim Castelino, Vice President of Engineering Services at EASi, "In fact, the local model is very advantageous and has excellent model integrity. It has a good closed volume that is easy to partition
