KF-1 Moisture Analyzer
1、 Overview
The KF-1A moisture analyzer is mainly used to determine the moisture content in fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, food, light industry, chemical raw materials, and other industrial products.
According to relevant national data and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards, compounds that can be directly determined using the Karl Fischer method include:
Organic compounds - saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, aldehydes, acids, acyl halides, alcohols, stable amides, weak amines, anhydrides, disulfides, esters, ether halides, hydrocarbons, stable ketones, peroxides, esters, sulfites, thiocyanates, and thioethers.
Inorganic compounds - acids, acidic oxides, alumina, anhydrides, barium peroxide, calcium carbide, copper oxide, desiccants, hydrazine sulfate, salts of some organic and inorganic acids, etc.
This instrument is a Karl Fischer volumetric titration method for determining moisture content, using the "permanent stop method" to determine the endpoint,.
When there is a trace amount of Karl Fischer reagent present in the solution at the endpoint of titration, that is, both I ˉ and I2 are present at the same time, the solution conducts electricity, and the instrument displays that the titration has reached the endpoint.
Calculate the moisture content in the sample based on the Karl Fischer test dose consumed in the titration reaction.
2、 Instrument performance:
2.1 Power Supply Voltage: AC 220 ± 10% 50Hz
2.2 Relative humidity: ≤ 80%
2.3 Environmental temperature: 5 ℃~40 ℃
2.4 Measurement range: 0.03% to 100%
2.5 Relative error: ≤ 3% (for parallel determination using water as the standard sample to determine the water equivalent of the Karl Fischer reagent, it should be noted that its water equivalent must be greater than or equal to 3 mg/ml.).
3、 Instrument features:
3.1 The power supply voltage is 220V, which can be transformed, rectified, and stabilized to ensure the stability of the instrument.
3.2 The electromagnetic stirrer adopts motor stepless speed regulation, and the stirring speed can be adjusted arbitrarily.
3.3 The titration system adopts a standard grinding mouth, which facilitates the mutual use of titration systems with different capacities.
3.4 Use dry air pressure to remove the waste liquid from the reaction bottle, which is easy to operate; The entire operation process is carried out in a closed system, which is safe and reliable.
The installation system for 3.5 test tubes is designed to be user-friendly, making it easy for users to exchange desiccants.
When measuring the moisture content between 0.1% and 10%, use a 10 milliliter burette (with a minimum division of 0.05 milliliters).
When the moisture content is less than 0.1%, the sampling volume should be appropriately increased and a 5ml or 2ml burette (with a minimum division of 0.02ml) can be used.
When measuring moisture content>10%, the sampling amount should be appropriately reduced and a 25ml burette (with a minimum division of 0.05ml) can be used.
This instrument has good performance and is easy to use. It has been recommended by many industries as a testing instrument that implements national standards.
