Purpose:The ML3 portable soil moisture analyzer is capable of measuring the moisture content of various soils and media, and can be used as a basic tool for fixed-point monitoring or mobile measurement of moisture.
Principle:Using the FDR principle, the sensor emits electromagnetic waves of a certain frequency, which propagate along the probe and return to the bottom to detect the voltage output by the probe. As the change in soil dielectric constant usually depends on the soil moisture content, the soil moisture content can be calculated from the relationship between the output voltage and moisture.
