Led by standard CPU units, it is equipped with four types of high-performance CPU units that are frequently used. More economical systems can be constructed according to different purposes.

The installation area is W140 × H100mm (when using 5 modules), which is a small model that perfectly matches the size of the pocket sized notebook. When assembling the machine, the required space can be minimized.

Adequate large capacity program memory and computational memory have been installed.

Although the size is small, it varies depending on the model, with options for 32k, 60k, and 120k step program memory. It also has abundant computing memory. In addition, the maximum number of control I/O points is 2048 (8192 when using remote I/O), which can fully correspond to medium-sized control.
Expansion of memory options
Within the CPU unit, IC cards can be used to store programs and expand data memory.

Standard motherboard
On the basis of the basic motherboard, an additional module can be expanded. Each uses a 14 module type, with a maximum of 1600 control I/O points.

When using the FNS unit, only the communication plug can be replaced without changing the main unit to correspond to three different networks. The maintenance components are more rationalized.

When using the FNS unit, programming software Control FPWIN Pro version 5.24 or higher (including the function libraries mentioned above) must be used for setting and programming. Control FPWIN GR cannot be used.

Ability to prepare units/chassis in advance
In the process of introducing mechanical equipment and production lines, it has become an established mode for the network of production line control/management to be carried out through an open network. However, in an open network, whether to choose PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, or CANopen, when it is not possible to choose the most suitable network, if FNS units that can determine which network to use through the selection of communication plugs are selected, unit preparation and chassis production can be carried out first, effectively shortening the construction period.

Devices such as winding machines and grinding machines that repeatedly perform the same operation are very effective.

2. Added origin return method
Added 8 functions including limit stop mode and manual stop mode that can achieve device simplification.

3. Synchronized operation
You can specify 1 main axis and 1 sub axis. Move and transport on the workbench using two axes.

4. Real time torque limitation
The torque limit value can be changed at any point during operation. Perform shaft compression braking, etc.

5. JOG positioning control
Slow down and stop at the designated position through sensor input. Can be applied to labeling machines, etc.

6. Auxiliary contacts (delay mode)
At any point during positioning operation, auxiliary contacts can be output.

7. Current value change function
The current value can be changed to any value. Can be used for origin offset values.

8. Operational changes during system startup
Even if the power supply on the servo amplifier side does not start, it can still achieve unit startup.

The maximum number of control axes is 256, fully capable of handling large-scale equipment.
The maximum number of 8-axis units that can be installed is 32, and the maximum number of control axes is 256 (when using the motherboard H-type).
There are three types of products: 2-axis, 4-axis, and 8-axis, with few to multiple axes, which can flexibly support system construction

The servo amplifier has 2 built-in DC inputs and 2 DC outputs, which are reflected as X and Y on the PLC through the network.
By controlling the input of various sensor signals and the output for flashing the lamp through the local control axis, it can be controlled on the PLC, reducing the cost of adding a remote I/O system.

Compatibility considerations between FP2SH and FP2

Regarding hardware compatibility
When using FP2SH, the unit and associated products are generally similar to FP2, but please note the following points.

Optional storage units cannot be used interchangeably.

  • FP2SH CPU unit [model FP2-C2 or FP2-C2L] storage unit can be used, limited to [model FP2-EM7 or ordered product number AFP2208].
  • The storage unit used for FP2 cannot be used [model FP2-EM1, EM2, EM3, EM6].

The types of ROM and non-volatile memory for different optional components vary.

  • You can use the ROM of FP2SH CPU unit [model FP2-C2], which is [order product number AFP5208 or AFP5209]. First, install the storage unit [order product number AFP2208] on the non-volatile memory before it can be used universally.
  • The ROM used for FP2 cannot be used [ordered product number AFP2204 or AFP2205].

The types of backup batteries are different.

  • The battery used for the FP2SH CPU unit is a connector battery [ordered product number AFP8801].
  • FP2 CPU unit cannot use batteries [ordered product number AFC8801].

  • The FP2SH CPU unit is built-in and does not require optional components.

  • Use replaceable lithium batteries. Please use the battery in the packaging for the first time.

About AIC52000

  • Built in backup battery register. When using for the first time, please charge the battery for at least 24 hours. Fully charged and can be used as a backup for more than 3 months. The PLC will not be used when powered on. Failure to charge regularly can reduce lifespan. Cannot replace the backup battery.
