By turning this switch, you can select the measurement range, "NORMAL" is normal (3-150 meters), and "DEEP" is deep (60-350 meters).

POWER ON button

Aim the instrument at the manhole cover and press this button. It only takes a few seconds for the results to be displayed on the LCD screen. At a range of 3-150 meters, the instrument will continuously emit five detection sound waves; At a range of 60-350 meters, the instrument will emit four probing sound waves within 16 seconds. To extend the measurement time, simply hold down the switch.

TEMP switch

Because the propagation rate of sound waves is affected by the environment and the temperature inside the well, there is a temperature sensor inside the instrument to correct the temperature and stabilize the sound wave rate. When there is a display on the LCD screen, toggle the switch to set the temperature. Please refer to the 'Table of Temperature Control Settings' for specific settings.

Note: The horizontal axis represents the average temperature of the external environment, and the vertical axis represents the temperature of the well environment.

For wells without manhole covers, the built-in baffle of the instrument can be used.
