Introduction to surface coolers:
1: A surface cooler, also known as a comprehensive surface cooler, operates by allowing a heat medium or refrigerant to flow through the inner cavity of a metal pipe, while the air to be treated flows through the outer wall of the metal pipe for heat exchange to achieve the purpose of heating or cooling the air.
2: Material of surface cooler:
1: The material of the surface cooler manifold can be galvanized steel pipe, copper pipe or stainless steel pipe, and the surface cooler fins can be ordinary aluminum foil, hydrophilic aluminum foil or stainless steel fins; The end guard plate of the surface cooler can be galvanized or stainless steel plate.
2: The specifications of copper tubes for surface coolers include: copper tubes with diameters of 9.52mm, 12.7mm, and 16mm, and fins with sine wave and arc wave plate shapes.
3: The surface cooler has 4 rows, 6 rows, and 8 rows (vertical pipes).
4: There are left and right types of surface coolers.
Generally speaking, the classification of surface coolers can be divided into two categories
1: Snake coil type: including fan coil dedicated type, flat plate type for air conditioning units, and flowing media such as chilled water, hot water, industrial chilled salt water, etc.
2: Fan coil type surface coolers: flat surface coolers used in combination air conditioning units, ceiling mounted air conditioning units, fresh air units, vertical air conditioning air handling units, jet units, combination air conditioners, horizontal air conditioning units, etc.
3: Various oil-water cooling type surface coolers, air-cooled type surface coolers, and warm air type surface coolers.
Installation and use of surface coolers:
1: The surface cooler should be equipped with a dedicated bracket, and it is not allowed to use connecting pipes to support the surface cooler.
2: The water supply and return pipelines of the surface cooler should have good insulation measures to reduce heat loss or avoid pipeline frosting.
3: The highest point of cold and hot water pipelines should have an exhaust point, and the lowest point should have a drainage pipe. When not using a surface cooler in winter, the remaining water should be drained to prevent freezing and cracking of copper pipes.
4: The cold and hot water used for the meter cooler must not contain impurities such as sand, rust, fibers, etc. The cold air models include air-cooled module units, constant temperature and humidity units, etc.
