1、 Measurement principle
The ZBG turbidity measuring instrument adopts the 90 ° scattered light principle within the range of medium and low turbidity (less than 10NTU is low turbidity, 11-100NTU is medium turbidity, and greater than 100NTU is high turbidity). The principle of optical path is shown in the following figure:
Io - incident light
It - transmitted light
Is - scattered light
D - Turbidity of solution
When a specific spectrum of parallel light passes through a solution, a portion is absorbed and scattered, while another portion passes through the solution. The intensity of scattered light at a 90 ° angle to the incident light follows the Rayleigh formula:
|
Is=
|
KNV2
|
Io
|
|
enter4
|
Io - incident light intensity Is - scattered light intensity N - number of particles per unit solution
V - particle volume input - incident light wavelength K - coefficient
Under constant incident light conditions, within a certain turbidity range, the intensity of scattered light is directly proportional to the turbidity of the solution. The above formula can be reorganized and rewritten as:
|
Is
|
=K´N
|
(K ´ represents a constant)
|

Io

According to this formula, we can measure the turbidity of a water sample by measuring the scattered light intensity of particles in the water sample. This is the basic measurement principle of this product. The DZ series turbidity meter uses a combination of scattering and transmission principles for high turbidity measurement.
A photoelectric sensor consists of a light source, lens, photoelectric element, etc. When light passes through the tested liquid sample, scattered light at a 90 ° angle to the incident light acts on the photoelectric element, generating an electrical signal that varies with turbidity. This signal, along with the reference signal, is sent to the signal processor.
The signal processor, with integrated circuits as its core, forms a stable electronic circuit that amplifies, filters, performs operations, compensates, and other processes on the signal, making it linearly related to the turbidity of the measured liquid sample throughout the entire measurement range.
A stabilized power supply consists of a transformer, rectifier, filter, and stabilized module, which converts AC power ranging from 200 volts to 240 volts into the DC operating voltage required by the instrument.
The turbidity sensor is a key component of this instrument, which is equipped with photoelectric conversion devices, integrated circuit boards, stainless steel water tanks, etc. It is important to take good care of and maintain it. The turbidity display instrument has been set and debugged at the factory, with a password inside, and users do not need to set it.
Calibrate the potentiometer to adjust the accuracy of the instrument. When the metrological supervisory department verifies this instrument, or when the user confirms the measurement value due to deviation after using the instrument for a long period of time, in the presence of zero degree water and 10NTU standard turbidity liquid, the inspector or user shall calibrate the accuracy of the instrument themselves.
2、 Main technical performance
The ZBG turbidity meter is designed based on the specific requirements of the country for water quality, the current production process of drinking water in China, and the water source situation in China. They not only focus on ensuring the measurement accuracy requirements of the factory water, but also take into account the needs of sediment water and source water detection. Using a four digit display, the reading is simple, accurate, and has high precision. It maintains three significant decimal places within 0-10NTU and two significant decimal places within 11-100NTU.
Our turbidity meter has a range of 1-10, 0-20, 0-100, 0-500, 0-2000NTU, etc

4、 Usage method
(1) Installation and fixation
1. Fix the instrument on the wall and connect the water source and inlet with a hose,Install an inlet valve at the water source, and tighten the inlet with a clamp (provided by the manufacturer) to prevent water leakage.Connect the hose to the overflow port and water outlet (the length of the hose depends on the working environment),It must also be tightened with clamps (provided by the manufacturer).Pinch half of the water outlet and slowly turn on the water source switch. Water * enters the water tank, with some flowing out of the outlet and the other overflowing from the overflow outlet as the water level rises,When a small amount of overflow water flows out from the overflow port, the water tank is full, and water flows out from both the outlet and the overflow port. You can adjust the opening of the water inlet valve and outlet clamp to regulate the water volume, but the small amount of overflow water from the overflow port cannot be interrupted (note • this is key). If there is no overflow water flowing out of the overflow port, please increase the water inlet or clamp the plastic pipe at the outlet slightly to reduce the water flow at the outlet, ensure that there is overflow water flowing out of the overflow port, the waterway is unobstructed, and the instrument works normally.
5、 Precautions
1. The clamps of the inlet, outlet, and overflow ports must be tightened to prevent water leakage.
2. When water comes out of the exhaust port, turn down the inlet valve to ensure that there is no water flowing out.
3. There must be water flowing out from the overflow outlet.
